Colorado's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives will ride across the Eastern Plains of Colorado this September 21 – 23 as a sponsor of Pedal the Plains.  The inaugural Pedal the Plains bicycle tour is an annual three-day ride across Colorado’s High Plains. A celebration of Colorado cycling culture, this landmark event commemorates the heart of western agriculture, home of the frontier spirit that inspires all of us to keep pedaling.

Our team will be riding through Yuma, Wray and Burlington.  We will have informational booths on Friday night in Wray and Saturday in Burlington where you can learn about the Kit Carson Wind Power project and ways to keep electricity affordable.

The team of riders will be raising money for Energy Outreach Colorado, which provides financial assistance to Colorado’s neediest families and seniors in meeting their home energy needs.  Touchstone Energy cooperatives have always been an integral part of the communities we serve and Pedal the Plains is another opportunity for us to raise money for our members when they need help affording electricity.
